New Chairs

Charlie put together adirondack chairs for our back patio a few weeks ago. They are so nice! I love having a nice place to sit out back.

So charlie and I were in lowes the other night. The girl at checkout said to me, "you look like you swallowed a seed." I said,"two actually." It was hilarious. I have never heard that phrase before!

Here come the home projects...

So we're painting the kitchen...well Charlie is really painting the kitchen. Priming is complete, caulking in progress and color begins soon!

Powell Twins Progression

So here is the first ultrasound - just 6 weeks. They were just little heartbeats then...

News...

So all is good in the Mobile Powell world...we're expecting twins in January...well probably December! Anyway, we are excited and thrilled. Now for the home projects to begin...

Tax Season Hiatus

Okay. I'm pretty much on hiatus until tax season is over.
Here's a little picture to keep you all happy until I'm back!

Hall Bath...

Bathroom changes...so we decided to update the hall bath, since the master bath went through a major transformation over a year ago. The hall bath just needed a couple of changes to update it...we put in a new toilet (the old one was original = 56 years old!) and the vanity was awkward. This new one is quite right for the bath!

House Changes...

We had our front door refinished...the pic on the top is before...the red pic is after! The old door had layers and layers of paint. The exterior was stripped, repaired and repainted this beautiful red (Thanks to Erin for helping me pick out the color). We put in a new storm door, too.

I love red doors...and this is the perfect red.

Spit McGee

So a little white kitty made his way into our laundry room...and into our family. He now has a name...Spit McGee.

After Willie Morris's book, My Cat, Spit McGee - a white cat with one hazel and one blue eye...just like our Spit!

Powells in the news...

So I'm the secretary this year for our local chapter of state CPA society (Mobile Chapter of the ASCPA). Apparently new officers were noted in the newspaper on Sunday...but I didn't even look in the section when I was perusing the paper.

My sister, who lives in Baton Rouge, LA, however, is the person who told me about it! My dad saw it and told her yesterday. How funny...that someone who lives out of town knows it before me!

Changes...

So I decided we need a new name...since we haven't moved lately!

Maybe a new design and title will bring me back more often to post!

Photography class

So I've been taking a photography class...and look what I can do! Out of about 30 students, only 3 of us were shooting film. How sad! But I have scanner, so I can add my "old school" pictures to the web, too!
